Train your brain to be happy!
"Happiness resides not in possession and not in gold; the feeling of happiness dwells in the soul!" Democritus.
I believe that choosing to be HAPPY is up to us, a real conscious choice we make. It starts, like everything else, with the intention to be HAPPY. When we really have the intention to do something, we accomplish it because with intention comes commitment, and active desire. Being happy doesn't come just like that; we have to make the effort to achieve happiness. It is not the money, the status, the beauty that makes us happy; these may help, of course, but they do not bring happiness by themselves, unless we commit ourselves to be happy.
What do I mean by "make the effort"? Well, we have to work on ourselves, to change what needs to be changed, to improve, to develop ourselves; to nurture a positive attitude, to cultivate gratitude, to be forgiving and more compassionate toward others. There are so many ways to feel good and happy in a healthy way; besides eating healthily, there are other tools I consider essential for well-being and happiness. Before you start reading about them, I would like you to know that first and foremost, for a human being to feel healthy and happy, the first factor is integrity (total harmony in the mind-soul-body connection)! When a person is in full integrity, then automatically happiness and health come together hand by hand!
